We are The Instrumental folk-music Folk.

Although the IF group play folk music from around the world, writing our own harmonies for different instruments, we also enjoy brief excursions into other melodic genres.

Each term we work on a selection of folk and popular tunes, developing our musical skills and enjoying playing together in a supportive and friendly atmosphere. Whilst necessarily taking into account the group size and balance of instruments within it, we welcome new members and are happy to accommodate a range of instruments. Note-reading is not essential but basic playing skills are necessary.
