Group Description :
Using group member presentations we aim to study a wide range of subjects and people in an interesting and fun way. Forthcoming topics include The Temperance movement, Victorian Murderers, Toys & Games Anne Lister (Gentleman Jack), Abolishing Slavery in the Empire, Quack Doctors, 1848 - The Year of Revolution, Exploration of Africa, Australia and North America, The Great Exhibition, South Africa and the Voortrekkers, Karl Marx, Mary Shelley, The Taiping Rebellion, Elizabeth Fry, Steam power and much more.
