Group Details For EWC - Environment and Wildlife Conservation
Group Description :
The purpose of this group is to inform and educate members about varying aspects of wildlife and environment, primarily in our local area. We envisage looking at factors such as climate change, water pollution protecting wildlife, energy supply options etc through talks and discussions. We also arrange monthly visits during the summer months. We encourage members to suggest topics/speakers etc, and help the leaders to organise sessions. Previous topics have included bats, garden birds, renewable energy, the River Weaver and Mass Extinction events. We usually meet on the 4th Thursday in the month.
