LEARNING

Our groups are mutual learning groups, where everyone can contribute to the learning of others. They include art/craft, history, music, foreign languages, discussion, literature and reading groups. Those who are looking for movement can join a variety of walking groups, fitness classes, table tennis, badminton or the increasingly popular pickleball. You can sharpen up your brain cells by learning/improving your bridge, or by joining the quiz or board games groups. If we do not have a group which interests you, contact us and we’ll support you in starting one.

SOCIAL

If you have no partner you could join our Members On Their Own group, which organises outings including theatre and restaurant visits.

 MEMBERSHIP

The 2026 membership year runs from March - February and costs £12 for the year. If joining on or after 1st September 2026, the fee drops to £6. From 1st February 2027 the fee returns to £12 but will cover through to February 2028.

For groups meeting at a paid-for venue there is also a charge of £1.50 a session per group you attend, payable for the total number of meetings at the start of each term (or year in the case of monthly groups)) to cover hire costs. There may be an additional charge for activities led by an outside tutor or which require extra materials.
